Hello everyone! I have a quick outfit of the day for you! I'm not in 6th form yet, but as it's my last term of 5th form, my school is allowing us to wear 6th form clothes instead of uniform which is smart office wear. I'll be posting all my outfits this week for you all!

Sunshine in England? Really? OOTD & my dog!

Hello everyone, sorry I haven't posted in a while - I've been really busy with revision for my exams that start on the 14th of May. Anyway, I just wanted to post an outfit of the day for you on this lovely sunny (and rare) day here in the Southwest of England :)
T-shirt: Hollister
Skirt: River Island
Also, I wanted to post this cute picture I took of my Border Terrier Pippa today :) I also have another Border Terrier called Will which is strange as my boyfriend is also called Will haha. Anyway, I hope you all enjoyed the sunshine, I'll talk to you tomorrow! Emily x.

Outfit of the Day | & Make-up for glasses

Cardigan: New Look, Dress: Parisian @ New Look, Belt: River Island, Boots: eBay, Socks: Jack Wills

Two blogs & a YouTube video in one day?!  This is just a casual look thrown together because all I was doing today was studying, however I wanted to make it a bit more interesting so I added the zebra print belt & boots over striped socks. I feel like it is a bit similar to what Aria Montgomery from Pretty Little Liars wears? I guess it's a little inspired by her. I love the texture of the dress - it has two layers and the top one is black & brown with lots of random holes and mesh in places - it's quite unique and I haven't seen anyone else with the same one yet :)

Here are some pics of my make-up & a link to the YouTube video I filmed today (a make-up look for people who wear glasses). I rarely wear glasses because I have contacts, but because I was just studying today I thought I would and then this happened I guess!

Fashion for Spring 2012 | Ins & Outs

My own individual interpretation of what's in for spring 2012! :)

I am not a fashion stylist, there may be things in here that you contradict but this is my view on things - from what I've seen on the runway and in general as well as online. Some of the things that I've said are "Out" I mean in general they are fashion mistakes, not just this spring... Hopefully you can tell the ones I mean :P
I'll be including: Clothes, Colours, Accessories, Make-up / General, Hair & Shoes!

Clothes:
Feminine Dresses, Skirts & Playsuits: In
Lace & Ruffles: In
Loose & Casual styles: In.
Denim Shirts / Jeans / Vests / Dresses: In
Silk & Satin material: In
High-waisted jeans, shorts & skirts: In
Leggings as trousers: Always OUT. Wear a long top / dress with leggings, not a normal length top.
Jeggings with a normal-length top: The same as with leggings. DON'T DO IT! (Some girls at my school have committed this crime) Jeggings are in, but wear a long top with them!
Skin-tight clothes: Out
1950's inspired dresses/skirts (the pin-up / sailor look): In
Over-sized belts around the waist: OUT unless it goes well with your outfit such as with a colour-block dress. For spring, go for a smaller more dainty belt.
Skirts / Dresses that only just cover your behind: OUT!!!!
Anything vintage: IN
Peter Pan Collars: In, but this season it's mostly wearing a peter pan collar necklace rather than it being fixed to the top / dress.

Colours:
Pastel: IN IN IN
Silver: IN! It looks great with a pastel pink & looks very feminine!
Neon: Out.
Aztec / Tribal Prints: IN! - Be bold!
Colour Blocking: In if you're brave enough to wear it!
Animal print: In but in moderation - don't go overboard with the cheetah or zebra print!

1950's Pin-up Inspired | Vintage

Today I'm wearing this adorable short-sleeved knee-length navy blue spotty dress that I bought at a fashion show, it's so vintage & reminds me of a 50's pin-up, which is why I went for a natural eyeshadow look with a bright red lipstick. I didn't want to over-do the jewellery because the dress is so simple so I only have on the necklace I wear every day that my boyfriend bought me. I must say, my eyelashes are looking quite full in the photo, it must be the Benefit mascara I've been wearing recently... Anyway, I must be off now! Talk to you all soon and I hope you lovelies will excuse my wet hair in the photograph!
